Manufacturing Industry Recap for 2014

With the first half of 2014 completed, how does manufacturing stand in the U.S. economy? We have scoured our resources and the internet for some great perspective on this very topic.

Markit published the PMI (Purchasing Managers’ Index) reporting the best quarter in U.S. manufacturing, in terms of growth, in four years. 

According to the ISM (Institute for Supply Management) new orders, employment and production growing, inventories growing supplier deliveries slowing.  

Reshoring of U.S. manufacturing is an important part of the story in the current manufacturing renaissance.   Here is some of the Good News/Bad News according to Cesare Mainardi of the Wall Street Journal. 

Here, Dominic Barton uncovers 5 things that could help the manufacturing industry recover even faster. There are some great ideas from outside the U.S.  

Alabama job creation is coming from the Henan Province of China.  Read about a few of the projects the Chinese are bringing to America.
